"God bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her,
through the night with a light from above."
Hear Kate Smith sing it.
The question: "What have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" The answer: “A Republic, if you can keep it.” (Benjamin Franklin)
Your hosts: Linda Joyce and Robert Louis Daniell, through our years.
"What good is genealogy if it isn't freely shared?"
"The thrill is in the hunt. Satisfaction is in the discovery."
Our family descends from American Revolutionary War Patriots and Soldiers. We
are proud to present our ancestors and their families, portrayed in
three files:
* the descendants of Robert's fifth great-grandfather,
William O'Daniel, 1691?-1728?
* the descendants of Linda's second
great-grandfather, John Ditmore, 1775?-1831?
* our combined families file including multiple ancestral lines, some of their descendants, and some who may be.
"TRUST BUT VERIFY!" Our goal is to be correct. Much
here is documented, some is not. Numerous individuals have contributed to this compilation of family lines. Their contributions and friendship are truly appreciated.

File history: These family files were first published by the compiler in 2002 and originally hosted by Payne Daniel on his website, "The Daniel Family of America of the Southern States" now defunct. In 2005, the files were published and regularly updated on three Googlepages websites. Google terminated that venue. On 28 October 2009, the three websites were consolidated and published here as "The Roloda File."
